Class 4A and Class 4C will present starting Tuesday, April 21st.  The order of presenting will be posted in the computer lab tomorrow by midday.

SBA NOTICE - FINAL

NOTICE

This is your LAST opportunity to submit your IT SBA final draft (printed and bound).  I will be at the lab this morning from 9am - 12 noon TODAY, Monday, March 30, 2015 collecting printed SBA.

For those students whose SBAs are with the Vice Principal to be bound, I have been given a list indicating the students who submitted at the office; you do not need to come.

For those students who submitted by flash drive on last Friday (to me directly) and has paid (or made arrangements) with Mrs. Tillett to pay for the printing, you also do not need to come, as your SBA is considered submitted.

NO OTHER OPPORTUNITY WILL BE OFFERED TO SUBMIT YOUR IT SBA 

Coding Array of For Loop in Pascal

As you know, arrays are simple indexed elements, with the elements being the variable values.

Reminder:  To code the For loop in Pascal, we note:

For x = 1 to 10 do

is replaced with

For i := 1 to 10 do
begin

next

is replaced with

end;

Now we code the array.  As you may recall, the array in an algorithm is declared on the first line of the algorithm.  In Pascal, however, that is not the case.  The array(s) is declared under the variable declaration section.  Example below:

Algorithm - output the 3rd and 5th names entered of 10 names.

print "enter your name"

input nam$(x)

print "the 3rd and 5th names entered are:", nam$(3), nam$(5)

Paper One final paper due February 6, 2015.  Printed.

• Print all tables in datasheet view, query results, relationship report, report, query in SQL view should be copied and placed in a word document then printed.  (all queries on one page)
• Print screen shots of:
• Tables in design view - any formatting that you would like graded.
• Queries in design view 
• Proof of deleting
• Proof of sorting

Remember that only what is submitted as hard-copy will be graded.

New 3D Printers Could Build Implants, Electronics

Several new 3D printers showcased at CES 2015 in Las Vegas earlier this month suggest that the 3D printing industry — best known for churning out brightly colored plastic doodads — could be turning over a new, more scientific leaf.
Amid the rough-edged replicas of superheroes and army tanks that adorned the expo's 3D printing space stood a machine that prints tiny medical implants that dissolve inside the human body. Another printer uses a combination of conductive inks and filaments to print quadcopters already embedded with the electronics that allow them to hover in the air. One company displayed a prototype of a 3D-printed medical device that can automatically stitch up patients after surgery.
The message these companies are sending couldn't be clearer: 3D printing isn't just for makers anymore. Increasingly, this trendy technology is turning into a must-have tool for doctors, researchers and engineers.
